  • 8 slices bacon, cut in half lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons whiskey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wrap each shrimp with a half slice of bacon. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, whiskey, brown sugar, minced garlic, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  4. Place the bacon-wrapped shrimp on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush the shrimp generously with the whiskey BBQ glaze.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and the shrimp are cooked through.
