Description

A quick and flavorful shrimp dish with garlic, butter, and Italian herbs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and melt.
  5. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese, parsley, basil, and oregano. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  9. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  10. Serve immediately.
