- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the flour to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Shape the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheets. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass or your hand.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- You can add sprinkles or a drizzle of melted chocolate for decoration.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
