- 1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the unbaked pie crust on a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar.
- Stir in the light corn syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set. A knife inserted near the center should come out clean.
- Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For an extra rich flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
- Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an indulgent treat.
