- 1 pound white mushrooms, stems removed
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Clean the mushroom caps gently with a damp cloth.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped chives, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Spoon the cream cheese mixture into each mushroom cap, filling them generously.
- If using, sprinkle the tops of the stuffed mushrooms with breadcrumbs.
- Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is heated through and lightly golden.
- Serve hot.

- For a gluten-free option, omit the breadcrumbs or use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
