- 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
- 2 cups sliced ripe bananas
- 1 (11 ounce) box vanilla wafers
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In individual glasses or a large trifle dish, layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and sliced strawberries.
- Spoon a layer of vanilla pudding over the fruit.
- Repeat the layers until the glasses or dish are full, ending with a layer of pudding.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the wafers to soften.
Notes
- For best results, use ripe but firm bananas.
- You can substitute other fruits like blueberries or raspberries.
- For a richer pudding, use half-and-half or heavy cream instead of milk.
