A simple recipe combining seasoned steak, melted cheese sauce, and rice.
Ingredients

- 1 pound skirt steak, cut into small pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 cup prepared queso sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Season the steak pieces with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the seasoned steak to the skillet and cook until browned and done to your liking, about 5-7 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low.
- Stir the cooked rice into the skillet with the steak.
- Pour the queso sauce over the steak and rice mixture.
- Stir gently until everything is heated through and coated with cheese sauce.
- Serve immediately, topped with cilantro if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute skirt steak with flank steak or sirloin.
- Use your favorite store-bought or homemade queso sauce.
- For extra flavor, add 1/4 cup of diced onion when cooking the steak.
