Description
A simple recipe for a chicken sandwich featuring honey mustard sauce, bacon, and standard sandwich components.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices bacon
- 4 sandwich buns
- 4 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken breasts until fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes per side. Set aside and keep warm.
- Cook bacon in a separate pan until crisp. Drain excess fat.
- In a small bowl, mix yellow mustard, honey, and mayonnaise to create the sauce.
- Slice chicken breasts if desired.
- Toast the sandwich buns lightly.
- Assemble the sandwich: Place lettuce and tomato on the bottom bun. Add chicken, cheese, and bacon. Drizzle generously with the honey mustard sauce. Top with the remaining bun half.
Notes
- You can grill the chicken instead of pan-frying for a different flavor.
- Adjust the honey and mustard ratio to match your preferred sweetness level.
- Use thick-cut bacon for a better texture.
