Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 200g cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 50g cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Unroll the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 12 equal squares.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the chopped shrimp, cream cheese, chives, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
  5. Place a spoonful of the shrimp mixture onto one half of each puff pastry square.
  6. Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling, creating a pocket. Press the edges with a fork to seal.
  7. Place the sealed pastries on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for an even golden color.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Serve warm.

  • You can add a pinch of garlic powder to the shrimp mixture for extra flavor.
