- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 200g cooked shrimp, chopped
- 50g cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 12 equal squares.
- In a small bowl, mix the chopped shrimp, cream cheese, chives, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
- Place a spoonful of the shrimp mixture onto one half of each puff pastry square.
- Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling, creating a pocket. Press the edges with a fork to seal.
- Place the sealed pastries on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg for an even golden color.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- You can add a pinch of garlic powder to the shrimp mixture for extra flavor.
- Garnish with extra chives before serving.
- These can be made ahead and reheated.
