- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add asparagus and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
- Pour the soy sauce mixture over the shrimp and asparagus.
- Toss to coat everything evenly and cook for another minute until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately over cooked rice.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a splash of white wine or mirin to the sauce.
- Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions before serving.
