  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Peel, core, and slice the pears into half-inch thick pieces.
  3. In a bowl, toss the pear slices with maple syrup and lemon juice. Spread the coated pears in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  5. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
