- 8 croissants, halved horizontally
- 1 cup diced cooked ham
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Arrange the bottom halves of the croissants in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the diced ham and shredded cheeses evenly over the croissant bottoms.
- Place the top halves of the croissants over the ham and cheese.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants in the baking dish.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and the casserole is set.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the egg mixture.
- If you don’t have Dijon mustard, regular yellow mustard can be used as a substitute.
- This bake can be assembled the night before and refrigerated. Add an extra 5-10 minutes to the covered baking time if baking from cold.
