Description

Rich chocolate brownies swirled with creamy pumpkin cheesecake.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  5. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg yolk. Stir in the pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice until well combined.
  6. Dollop spoonfuls of the pumpkin cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter in the pan.
  7. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the pumpkin cheesecake mixture.
  8. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the pumpkin cheesecake mixture into the brownie batter.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  10. Let cool completely before cutting and serving.

Notes

  • For a more intense chocolate flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
  • Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for a smooth cheesecake layer.
  • Do not overmix the brownie batter to prevent tough brownies.
