A refreshing homemade plum lemonade recipe.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh plums, pitted and chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 6 cups cold water
- Fresh mint sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Combine chopped plums and sugar in a saucepan. Add 1 cup of water.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until plums are soft and sugar is dissolved, about 10-15 minutes.
- Mash the plums with a fork or potato masher.
- Strain the plum mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard solids.
- Add lemon juice and remaining 5 cups of cold water to the pitcher.
- Stir well to combine.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve over ice, garnished with fresh mint sprigs if desired.
Notes
- For a smoother lemonade, you can blend the cooked plum mixture before straining.
- Adjust sugar and lemon juice to your taste.
- You can use other stone fruits like peaches or nectarines.
