Description

A simple grilled cheese sandwich with the addition of sliced pickles for a tangy flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices bread
  • 2 slices cheese (cheddar or American recommended)
  • 46 dill pickle chips
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Layer the cheese slices on the bread in the skillet.
  4. Place the pickle chips evenly over the cheese.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  6. Grill for 3-4 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from skillet and slice in half.

Notes

  • Use firm pickles to prevent excess moisture in the sandwich.
  • You can substitute mayonnaise for butter on the outside of the bread for a different browning texture.
