Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 12 oz pasta of your choice
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Shape into 1-inch meatballs and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, basil, and oregano. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Brown meatballs in a separate pan, then add to the sauce.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions.
- Serve pasta topped with meatballs, sauce, and fresh parsley.

- Use fresh herbs if available for better flavor.
