Description
A simple and delicious one-pan ham glazed with brown sugar and pineapple, perfect for holiday gatherings like Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (5-7 pound) fully cooked bone-in ham
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, undrained
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Whole cloves, for studding (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Place the ham in a large roasting pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, crushed pineapple (with juice), cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Mix well.
- Pour half of the glaze over the ham.
- If desired, stud the ham with whole cloves.
- Cover the roasting pan tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil and pour the remaining glaze over the ham.
- Continue baking, uncovered, for another 1-1.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C). Baste the ham with the pan juices every 20-30 minutes.
- Let the ham rest for 10-15 minutes before carving and serving.
Notes
- Ensure your ham is fully cooked before starting.
- Basting helps the glaze adhere and keeps the ham moist.
- Adjust baking time based on the size of your ham.
