Description
Make rich, fudgy brownies using just one bowl for easy cleanup.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and brown sugar.
- Pour in the melted butter and whisk until combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. A toothpick inserted near the center should come out with moist crumbs attached, not wet batter.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For extra fudgy brownies, reduce the baking time by 2-3 minutes.
- You can substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with milk chocolate or dark chocolate chips.
- Store cooled brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to four days.
