Description

This Olive Garden Inspired Chicken Alfredo is a creamy, comforting pasta dish made with seared chicken, rich Alfredo sauce, and fettuccine, perfect for a restaurant-style meal at home.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 12 oz fettuccine or tagliatelle pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
  • Optional: 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper, sautéed mushrooms or spinach

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. Pat chicken dry and season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Set aside to rest.
  4. In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir for 4–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Add pasta water if needed to thin the sauce.
  8. Slice rested chicken and place on top of the sauced pasta.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve immediately.
