Description

Simple recipe for hot dogs marinated before grilling for added flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 hot dogs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 hot dog buns

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder to create the marinade.
  2. Place the hot dogs in the marinade, turning to coat them completely.
  3. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
  5. Remove the hot dogs from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  6. Grill the hot dogs for 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until heated through and grill marks appear.
  7. Place the hot dogs in the buns and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can add a dash of liquid smoke to the marinade for a smokier taste.
  • Serve with your favorite condiments like mustard or ketchup.
