A delicious fusion of flavors in a quesadilla.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup real maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 4 large flour tortillas
- Butter or oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the maple syrup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly. Remove from heat.
- Lay out the tortillas on a flat surface. On one half of each tortilla, sprinkle a layer of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.
- Spoon the ground beef mixture over the cheese.
- Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the meat.
- Fold the other half of the tortilla over the filling.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add butter or oil.
- Carefully place the quesadillas in the hot skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the skillet and let rest for a minute before cutting into wedges.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of maple syrup to your sweetness preference.
- You can use pre-cooked bacon for convenience.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch or sriracha mayo.
