Description
Tangy key lime pie bars with a sweet graham cracker crust.

- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup key lime juice
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and sugar. Pour in melted butter and stir until crumbs are evenly moistened. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes, until lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, egg yolks, and lime zest until smooth.
- Pour the lime filling over the baked crust.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
- Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For a stronger lime flavor, add an extra tablespoon of key lime juice.
- Garnish with whipped cream and lime slices before serving, if desired.
