Description

Simple baked sliders with ham, cheese, and a savory butter topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls or similar slider buns
  • 1 pound thinly sliced deli ham
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves connected if possible.
  3. Place the bottom halves of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Layer the ham evenly over the bottom rolls. Top the ham with the slices of Swiss cheese.
  5. Place the top halves of the rolls back onto the cheese.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, dried minced onion, and poppy seeds.
  7. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the assembled sliders.
  8. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  11. Slice the sliders apart and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute cheddar or provolone cheese for Swiss cheese.
  • For extra flavor, add a dash of garlic powder to the butter mixture.
