Description

A simple recipe for a refreshing iced latte flavored with honey and turmeric.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1 shot espresso or 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Combine milk, turmeric, honey, ginger, and black pepper in a small saucepan.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the honey dissolves and the spices are mixed in. Do not boil.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a glass to remove any undissolved spices, if desired.
  5. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  6. Pour the cooled honey turmeric milk mixture over the ice.
  7. Top with the shot of espresso or strong coffee.
  8. Stir gently before drinking.
