Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Wash the okra and trim off the ends.
  2. Blanch the okra in boiling water for 1-2 minutes until bright green and slightly tender-crisp.
  3. Immediately transfer the okra to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Drain well.
  4. Cut the blanched okra into bite-sized pieces.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and white vinegar to make the dressing.
  6. In a large bowl, combine the chopped okra and the dressing. Toss gently to coat.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and toasted sesame seeds.
  8. Serve immediately.
