Description
Tender steak bites marinated in garlic butter and served with creamy mashed potatoes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1.5 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1/2 cup milk, warm
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Add steak cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- While the steak marinates, boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add warm milk, butter, and sour cream to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak bites and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Serve steak bites immediately with creamy mashed potatoes.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a splash of soy sauce to the steak marinade.
- Adjust the amount of garlic and herbs to your preference.
- Ensure potatoes are well-drained to avoid watery mashed potatoes.
