Ingredients

  • Strawberries: 2 cups, hulled and sliced
  • Sugar: 1 cup
  • Lemon Juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Raspberries: 2 cups, fresh or frozen
  • Blueberries: 2 cups, fresh or frozen
  • Blackberries: 2 cups, fresh or frozen
  • Pectin: 1 packet
  • Water: 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Combine strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a large pot.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Mash berries with a potato masher or fork.
  4. For raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry jams, combine fruit, sugar, and pectin in a pot.
  5. Add water and bring to a rolling boil that cannot be stirred down.
  6. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  7. Remove from heat and skim off any foam.
  8. Ladle hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving headspace.
  9. Wipe rims, apply lids and rings, and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
  10. Cool jars on a wire rack.

Notes

  • Sterilize jars and lids before filling.
  • Adjust sugar to your preference.
  • Ensure jam reaches a setting point by using a candy thermometer or the cold plate test.
