Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (1.5-pound) flank steak
- 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions

- In a medium bowl, whisk together beer, soy sauce, vegetable oil, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Pour marinade over steak, ensuring it is fully coated. Seal bag or cover dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, turning occasionally.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove steak from marinade and discard marinade.
- Grill steak for 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.
- Let steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust grilling time based on your desired level of doneness.
- Resting the steak after grilling helps keep it juicy.
- Slice against the grain for tender meat.
