Ingredients

- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional coatings: cocoa powder, chopped nuts, shredded coconut, sprinkles
Instructions
- Place chocolate chips in a medium bowl.
- Heat heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
- Pour hot cream over chocolate chips. Let sit for 5 minutes, then whisk until smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm enough to roll.
- Scoop small amounts of the mixture and roll into balls.
- Roll truffles in desired coatings.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
- For best results, use high-quality chocolate.
- You can add a tablespoon of liqueur for extra flavor.
- Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
