  • 2 medium peaches, thinly sliced

  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sugar (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, gently toss the sliced apples and peaches with the granulated sugar, flour, lemon juice, and cinnamon until coated.
  3. Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet onto the prepared baking sheet. Do not unfold it completely if it is still folded; gently press it into a rough square or rectangle.
  4. Arrange the fruit mixture in the center of the pastry, leaving a 1.5-inch border around the edges.
  5. Fold the edges of the pastry up and over the fruit, overlapping the folds slightly to create a rustic crust border.
  6. Brush the folded pastry edges with the beaten egg wash.
  7. Sprinkle the coarse sugar over the egg-washed crust.
  8. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the fruit is tender and bubbling.
  9. Let the galette cool on the baking sheet for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
