Description

A moist chocolate cake with holes poked in it, filled with mint pudding, and topped with whipped cream or frosting.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • Ingredients to make cake according to box instructions
  • 1 small box instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 small box instant mint pudding mix
  • 4 cups cold milk
  • 1 container whipped topping or frosting

Instructions

  1. Prepare and bake the chocolate cake according to the box instructions. Let it cool completely.
  2. Once cooled, use the handle of a wooden spoon or a similar object to poke holes all over the top of the cake, going about halfway down.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix, mint pudding mix, and cold milk until thickened.
  4. Carefully pour the pudding mixture over the cooled cake, making sure to fill the holes.
  5. Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the pudding to set and the flavors to meld.
  6. Spread the whipped topping or frosting over the top of the cake before serving.
