- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- Ingredients to make cake according to box instructions
- 1 small box instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 small box instant mint pudding mix
- 4 cups cold milk
- 1 container whipped topping or frosting
Instructions
- Prepare and bake the chocolate cake according to the box instructions. Let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, use the handle of a wooden spoon or a similar object to poke holes all over the top of the cake, going about halfway down.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix, mint pudding mix, and cold milk until thickened.
- Carefully pour the pudding mixture over the cooled cake, making sure to fill the holes.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the pudding to set and the flavors to meld.
- Spread the whipped topping or frosting over the top of the cake before serving.
Notes
- You can use any type of chocolate cake mix.
- Adjust the amount of milk for the pudding to achieve your desired consistency.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or mint sprigs.
