Simple recipe for quick drop biscuits using baking powder.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 3/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut the cold butter into the flour mixture using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the milk all at once. Stir just until the dough comes together. Do not overmix.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- For softer biscuits, use slightly more milk.
- You can brush the tops with melted butter immediately after removing them from the oven.
