Description

A simple recipe for toast topped with mashed avocado and a fried egg.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread slices to your preference.
  2. While the bread toasts, heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat.
  3. Crack the egg into the skillet and fry it until the white is set and the yolk is cooked to your liking.
  4. Scoop the avocado flesh into a small bowl and mash it with a fork. Season the avocado with salt and pepper.
  5. Spread the mashed avocado evenly over the two toast slices.
  6. Carefully place one fried egg on top of each avocado-covered toast slice.
  7. Season the egg with additional salt and pepper if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can use any type of bread you prefer.
  • For a softer yolk, cook the egg for less time.
