- 1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated pizza crust
- 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into 16 (1/2-inch) sticks
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Marinara sauce, for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).
- Unroll pizza crust and cut into 16 equal rectangles.
- Place a mozzarella stick in the center of each rectangle.
- Fold the crust over the cheese and pinch the edges to seal, forming a stick.
- Dip each pizza stick in the beaten egg, then coat evenly with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and oregano.
- Fry the pizza sticks in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Serve immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- For extra spooky sticks, you can add a drop of black food coloring to the egg wash before dipping.
