- 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup orange juice, fresh squeezed preferred
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon cold water (slurry)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Spread the seasoned cauliflower in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the edges are lightly browned and tender-crisp.
- While the cauliflower bakes, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Whisk the cornstarch slurry into the simmering sauce. Continue to cook and stir until the sauce thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon, about 1 minute. Remove from heat.
- Once the cauliflower is baked, transfer the hot florets to a clean large bowl.
- Pour the orange glaze over the cauliflower and toss gently until every piece is coated.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can lightly dust the oiled cauliflower with a tablespoon of cornstarch before baking.
- Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions before serving if desired.
