- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the Cajun seasoning, paprika, cayenne, onion powder, and garlic powder. Cook for another 30 seconds to toast the spices.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream while whisking continuously.
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to slightly thicken.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.
- Whisk until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. For extra heat, add hot sauce.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately over pasta, chicken, seafood, or vegetables.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smoother texture.
- Whisk continuously to prevent clumps.
- For a milder sauce, reduce or omit the cayenne pepper.
- Add extra Parmesan for a cheesier version.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
