Description
A simple recipe for creamy mashed potatoes mixed with sweet peas.
Ingredients

- 2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place the cubed potatoes in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Add the frozen peas to the boiling potatoes during the last 3 minutes of cooking.
- Drain the potatoes and peas well.
- Return the potatoes and peas to the pot. Add the milk and butter.
- Mash the mixture until it reaches your desired consistency.
- Stir in the salt and pepper. Heat through gently before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk.
- You can use fresh or frozen peas.
