- 1 pound bulk pork sausage
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, combine the sausage and softened cream cheese. Mix until just combined.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the sausage mixture. Mix until a dough forms. Do not overmix.
- Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until lightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can use reduced-fat sausage if desired.
- For a different flavor, add 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese to the mixture.
