Spicy and creamy jalapeno poppers with a cowboy-inspired cream cheese filling.

- 12 large jalapeno peppers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 oz crumbled cooked bacon
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, cilantro, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Fill each jalapeno half with the cream cheese mixture.
- In a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs and melted butter.
- Coat the filled jalapenos with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place poppers on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the topping is golden brown.
Notes
- Wear gloves when handling jalapenos to avoid skin irritation.
- Adjust the amount of seeds left in the jalapenos to control the spice level.
- For extra crispiness, you can broil for the last minute of cooking.
