Description
Simple, crisp cucumber chips seasoned with a homemade ranch flavor mix.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large cucumbers
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Wash and thinly slice the cucumbers into rounds, about 1/8 inch thick.
- Pat the cucumber slices completely dry with paper towels. This step is important for crispness.
- In a small bowl, mix together the dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Place the dried cucumber slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
- Lightly brush both sides of the cucumber slices with olive oil.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly over both sides of the slices.
- Bake for 1 hour, flip the chips, and bake for another 45 to 60 minutes, or until they are dry and crisp.
- Turn off the oven and let the chips cool completely inside the oven with the door slightly ajar for maximum crispness.
Notes
- For the best results, use a mandoline slicer to get uniform, thin slices.
- If the chips are not fully crisp after cooling, return them to the oven for another 15 minutes at 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
