- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Melt butter in a saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in sugar.
- Beat in eggs one at a time. Mix in vanilla.
- Combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
- Fold in nuts if using. Spread batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Do not overbake for fudgy texture.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
