Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, yogurt, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Gently swirl the melted chocolate into the remaining batter.
- Pour the chocolate-tinted batter over the plain batter in the cake pan.
- Use a knife or skewer to create marble patterns by swirling the two batters together.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a richer chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate.
