Description
Simple clusters made from trail mix coated in melted chocolate.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, peanuts, cashews)
- 1/2 cup dried fruit (raisins, cranberries)
- 1/4 cup seeds (pumpkin or sunflower)
- 1/2 cup pretzels or cereal pieces
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the nuts, dried fruit, seeds, and pretzels or cereal pieces. Mix well.
- Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Melt the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the trail mix mixture. Stir gently until all ingredients are evenly coated.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming small clusters.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.
- Store the clusters in an airtight container.
Notes
- You can substitute any type of chocolate, such as milk or dark chocolate.
- For a firmer cluster, chill the mixture before coating if your nuts are oily.
- Add a pinch of sea salt on top of the wet chocolate for added flavor.
