Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 pound egg noodles
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, whisk flour into the melted butter. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet. Add cooked noodles and stir to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
Notes
- You can add vegetables like peas or carrots to this dish.
- For a richer sauce, use heavy cream instead of milk.
