Description
A meatloaf twist on classic chicken cordon bleu, featuring chicken, ham, and cheese.

- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped ham
- 1/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Pat half of the chicken mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in a rectangle shape.
- Layer the ham and cheese over the chicken mixture, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Top with the remaining chicken mixture, sealing the edges to form a loaf.
- In a small bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard and honey.
- Brush the mustard mixture over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
- Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can use different types of cheese, such as provolone or Gruyere.
- Add a pinch of nutmeg to the chicken mixture for extra flavor.
- Serve with a side of mashed potatoes or green beans.
