Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken (preferably thigh or mix of thigh and breast)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped onion or shallot
  • 1/4 tsp paprika or smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Optional: chopped parsley, grated Parmesan, chili flakes
  • 4 sesame seed buns, toasted
  • Fresh green leaf lettuce
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • Butter or oil for toasting buns

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, salt, pepper, garlic, chopped onion, paprika, and mayonnaise. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties slightly wider than your buns.
  3. Optional: Chill patties for 10–15 minutes to help them hold their shape.
  4. Heat a grill or non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and brush with oil.
  5. Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Toast the buns lightly with butter on a pan or grill.
  7. Assemble burgers with lettuce, sliced tomato, the cooked patty, and your favorite sauce.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

  • Use ground chicken thigh for extra juiciness.
