- 1 lb ground chicken (preferably thigh or mix of thigh and breast)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp finely chopped onion or shallot
- 1/4 tsp paprika or smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- Optional: chopped parsley, grated Parmesan, chili flakes
- 4 sesame seed buns, toasted
- Fresh green leaf lettuce
- 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
- Butter or oil for toasting buns
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, salt, pepper, garlic, chopped onion, paprika, and mayonnaise. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties slightly wider than your buns.
- Optional: Chill patties for 10–15 minutes to help them hold their shape.
- Heat a grill or non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and brush with oil.
- Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Toast the buns lightly with butter on a pan or grill.
- Assemble burgers with lettuce, sliced tomato, the cooked patty, and your favorite sauce.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
Notes
- Use ground chicken thigh for extra juiciness.
- Do not overmix the patty mixture to keep the texture tender.
- You can freeze uncooked patties for up to 2 months.
- Add cheese during the last minute of cooking for a melty finish.
- Customize toppings with spicy mayo, pickled onions, or grilled pineapple.
