Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 34 limes)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar, or to taste
  • 2 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime slices, for garnish
  • Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine pitted cherries, lime juice, and sugar. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the cherry-lime mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard solids.
  3. Add cold water to the pitcher and stir well. Taste and add more sugar if desired.
  4. Fill glasses with ice cubes.
  5. Pour the cherry limeade over the ice.
  6. Garnish with lime slices and fresh mint sprigs before serving.

Notes

  • For a less sweet version, reduce the sugar or use a sugar substitute.
  • You can use frozen cherries if fresh ones are not available. Thaw them before blending.
