Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 3–4 limes)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar, or to taste
- 2 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Lime slices, for garnish
- Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
Instructions
- In a blender, combine pitted cherries, lime juice, and sugar. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the cherry-lime mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard solids.
- Add cold water to the pitcher and stir well. Taste and add more sugar if desired.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes.
- Pour the cherry limeade over the ice.
- Garnish with lime slices and fresh mint sprigs before serving.
Notes
- For a less sweet version, reduce the sugar or use a sugar substitute.
- You can use frozen cherries if fresh ones are not available. Thaw them before blending.
- For a sparkling version, replace some or all of the water with club soda or sparkling water.
