Description

Easy-to-make cheesy bites with a crispy parmesan coating and gooey mozzarella center.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, combine flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In another shallow dish, add beaten eggs.
  3. In a third shallow dish, combine panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Dip each mozzarella cube first in the flour mixture, then in the egg, and finally in the panko-Parmesan mixture, pressing to coat.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Carefully add the coated mozzarella bites to the hot oil, in batches, and fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For best results, use a neutral-flavored oil like vegetable or canola oil.
  • Do not overcrowd the skillet when frying; cook in batches if necessary.
  • These are best served immediately after frying.
