Baked apples filled with a creamy cheesecake mixture.
Ingredients

- 4 large apples (such as Honeycrisp or Gala)
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup crushed graham crackers
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Core apples, leaving about 1/2 inch at the bottom.
- In a small bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another small bowl, combine crushed graham crackers, melted butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Fill each apple cavity with the cream cheese mixture.
- Top the cream cheese mixture with the graham cracker topping.
- Place apples in a baking dish and add about 1/4 inch of water to the bottom of the dish.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until apples are tender.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use firm apples that hold their shape when baked.
- Adjust baking time based on the size and type of apples.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
