Description

A refreshing and bright juice combining carrots, ginger, citrus, and turmeric.


Ingredients

  • 4 large carrots
  • 1 inch fresh ginger root
  • 1 orange, peeled
  • 1 lemon, peeled
  • 1/2 inch fresh turmeric root (or 1/2 tsp ground turmeric)
  • 1/2 cup water (optional, for blending)

Instructions

  1. Wash and roughly chop the carrots, ginger, and turmeric.
  2. Peel the orange and lemon. Remove any large seeds.
  3. Place all prepared ingredients into a high-speed blender or juicer.
  4. If using a blender, add the water. Blend until completely smooth.
  5. If using a blender, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a glass, pressing down to extract all liquid. If using a juicer, follow the machine’s instructions.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of ginger and turmeric to match your taste preference.
  • If you do not have fresh turmeric, use ground turmeric powder.
  • Chill the juice before serving for a cooler drink.
